Descent to valley (to 1300 m)

There is a good base in the Meiental from Färnigen onwards. Slopes are well snowed in. Only streams are still open and serve as traps.

Snow quality

Hard, pressed snow
Powder snow

Variable, but sometimes changing very quickly and you can't tell in which expo it has set powder and where the lid is to be found. We found both. But you can recognize it quite well on the surface. In one slope powder without wind, in the other slab powder deluxe.

Risks

No warning signs
North-Eas

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Basically, the structure looks very solid. You can recognize drift snow packs. Around noon, there are loose snow slides on the south side that add up and interfere with the descent to the car. Surface frost at the tree line is crunching and will be exciting for the next snowfall.

Equal

Beautiful morning with nice couli. This one was a bit blown out, but the snow below was very good to ski. A bit of a lottery at the moment in central Switzerland, where it's good and where it's not. But conditions are generally very good - keep your eyes open and choose the good snow and not the summit.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
