The last snowfall on Klewenalp was also four days ago. Around 30 centimetres fell on Tuesday. The snow conditions are still good on many slopes. However, the foehn was blowing strongly today, the snow has blown onto the ridges and ridges and is packed down in exposed areas.
Snow quality
Varies depending on the slope and exposure. Surprisingly good and still fluffy on many north-facing slopes. In the lower third, partly covered with a thin layer of crushed harsh snow, which caused no problems with the powder slats. Where the foehn was raging, the snow was compacted and compact. Stars: From 4 to 2 - depending on the slope. That's why I opted for a 3, which is average.
Risks
The main danger is drift snow in hollows and gullies. SLF reports warning level 2, which is in line with my observations. The last snowfall was 4 days ago, the snow has settled and there is no movement above 1900 meters.
Overall impression
The day is worth 3 stars to me. Mainly because we found untracked slopes with amazingly good, loose snow. And last but not least, because I was able to share the powder experience with my son.
