Snow condition
I would definitely have expected more. There wasn't much more than in the Black Forest. The snow conditions were up and down all day. Sometimes really good, then the stones came through every now and then. The wind was and continues to be active and is very active.
Snow quality
Everything was there here too. On the north side, or where the sun rarely reaches, the snow was still quite nice. It softened a little in the sun and the first crusts appeared on the thawed snow towards the afternoon. But you could still get through everywhere very well.
Risks
The SLF issued a 3 with the following warning, among other things: With the southerly wind, clearly visible accumulations of drift snow are developing, which we were able to emphasize today, but otherwise the snow cover seemed quite stable.
Overall impression
It was a super nice day with a top crew. However, there was so much going on today that it was a bit annoying at times. There was everything: from snow tourers in racing outfits to groups of 12 without skiing technique but in good shape. Nevertheless, we can recommend the tour. Thanks to the lift support, you get a lot of vertical meters together and the landscape is a dream
