Actually more or less normal. However, the strong wind influence is noticeable throughout central Switzerland. Many ridges are blown off and there are heavy drifts and eroded rocks in open terrain.

It's good if you don't ride where the sun's crust is hard as concrete. The southern slopes don't thaw above 2200 and you can't penetrate the cover. The upper northern slopes are protected from the wind or steep enough to be really soft.

Risks

My goodness, the southern slopes, insofar as they are still there, are almost completely gone by 2000. I've never seen such huge fish mouths. Small dry avalanches on the north-facing slopes from wind-pressed snow packs that are easy to trigger. Otherwise the LLB says moderate.

Good, great north lines are currently skiable in nice soft snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
