Snow report Central Switzerland, 01/29/2014
From fluffy pow pow to crushed snow, it's a curse for me at the moment - it always snows when I have to work, so I have to take what's left. But with a little effort, there were still some nice runs with good snow today.

Snow condition
The snow conditions vary greatly due to the wind - from good to bad. There were actually three types today: - In exposed places, ridges and ridges but also slopes were very blown off - Then there were slopes with wind-compressed snow that were more reminiscent of a piste than backcountry... - And finally, there was surprisingly good pow on slopes protected from the wind, considering that the last snowfall was a few days ago. You can imagine where I was. And because the snow there was amazingly good, I've given it three stars.
Snow quality
Here, too, it ranges from wow to bäähhhhh. Some slopes with silky-fine pow. On others, the fresh snow was covered with a layer of broken harsh snow around 1 centimeter thick, but thanks to the rocker skis, it wasn't much of a problem.
Risks
SLF reports warning level 3, which I think they'll correct down soon. The fresh snow from Sunday has settled well. And the accumulations of drift snow are not large despite the strong foehn. I haven't seen an avalanche cone anywhere in the ski area and never had the feeling while skiing that it could be critical anywhere. But just.....
Overall impression
It was like Easter: Seek and ye shall find. And if you find something without great expectations, you're all the happier for it. And that's why the slopes worked so well.
