Touring Sunday on the Titlis off the beaten track
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
There is still enough snow to ski down into the valleys, but unfortunately this will slowly change over the next few days as the weather warms up. Snow line north side approx. 500m, south side approx. 800-1000m estimated.
Snow quality
Firn on the sunny slopes, otherwise mainly wind-pressed old snow. We still found good spots on the shaded side with little wind influence. In the morning, the south-facing slopes were frozen hard and the ascent track was glassy.
Risks
The daytime warming must currently be taken into account, see also picture. Otherwise, we were unable to make any observations that deviate from the LLB.
Overall impression
Great weather, great group, great day, what more could you want? More of this :D and hopefully more supplies from Frau Holle soon.
