The situation in Central Switzerland would currently be described as adequate. In the course of the winter, however, it is likely to be simply good. It's safe to get to the car around 1000m, but below 1400m on well-trodden paths. Above 1400m, you can easily shoot in all northern directions.

Snow quality

Powder snow

In the north sector between 1400 and 2100 (maybe even higher?) it was really good. Hardly any wind influence in the snow, only here and there very slightly capped. Only a small section in the NE was blown out, otherwise all around powder. No shallows, but really nice to ride.

Risks

No warning signs

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

In the LLB 2= drift snow, so underneath it was more like 1. That's how it felt. As I said, hardly any wind influence, no wind signs, no current avalanches. Some of the fresh snow slid down as loose snow, but that was probably 3 days ago. Stable powder snow. Really good.

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Great summit, great snow, great gully, great solitude, great day. 5 x great = 5*! Certainly worthwhile for a long time to come, even if with a slight warming, perhaps with a few compromises.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
