Snow condition
Tiptop. It wasn't enough for half a meter of fresh snow in central Switzerland like in Ticino. But we've had another 30 centimetres since yesterday morning. It was simply a dream to ride on. No rocks, no bottom, just deep, good powder. Today was full throttle. Only a few crests were cleared of snow by the wind. But I don't begrudge the chamois, hares and other animal mountain companions that. After all, they have to have something to eat.
Snow quality
Champagne Powder. A dream. And thanks to the cold breeze from morning to evening. Today you could stir up a lot of dust and powder - see pictures. There's not much more to say.
Risks
SLF is still reporting warning level 3. The explosive charges triggered quite a few avalanches this morning. I didn't see anything unstable or come down anywhere myself.
Overall impression
After a day like this, you remember why you dream of moments like this all year round, why you train your legs and fitness at the gym and why you wait patiently for winter. A dream. Five stars? Mmmhhhhh. Yep!!! If not today, then when?
