Snow condition
Snow conditions are okay even if they have suffered considerably in the south sector. Of course, there are some brown patches here and there and steep south and south-west slopes are partly bare up to 2,200 m.
Snow quality
At first I was worried that we'd be a bit late, but in the morning there was a bit more cloud cover than expected/announced and there was still a bit of Sahara dust on the way. So the 11 a.m. descent was just right for the somewhat steeper summit slope (later would also have worked). The flatter lower part could have done with a bit more sun. Still nice to ski, but it's just firn.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Typical spring situation with diurnal variation, although I don't think the snow cover has soaked through on the east and southeast slopes today. Still a problem with old snow in the north sector, releases are becoming less likely, but when they do, they like to be big.
Overall impression
Nice day with great weather and a few nice firn turns. Still hope that there will be some more powder days after next weekend.
