Blower Pow on the Titlis
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Despite the long thaw period, there is still more than enough snow to ski down to the valley without touching stones, wood or other ground. Due to the strong wind, the ridges are somewhat blown off. Due to the wind, the foliage in certain places today has sometimes been trampled through onto the hard surface, despite a lot of fresh snow. But on the leeward side of the slopes or in gullies and hollows, the conditions were simply superb.
Snow quality
See photos.... Simply the finest silky blower powder. There is nothing more to say.
Risks
SLF reported level 3 for today and warned of drift snow accumulations - the same applies for tomorrow, by the way. The wind will then pick up again significantly and bring some snow with it. However, I rated the snow cover as very stable today. I only saw one snow slab in the whole area, but it was probably caused by a blast.
Overall impression
Yesterday evening at 8 p.m., I decided to take on all the stress and drive to Engelberg despite my busy schedule. I was back in the car at 12 noon and worked through all my pending tasks and appointments with a big smile on my face. After three foliage runs in great conditions, it's simply much better and more relaxed to work.
