Nothing new on the Titlis.... There's snow until you drop - right down into the valley. And if the snow continues to arrive regularly, the mountain railroads can probably leave the valley descent open all year round ;-). There is currently the following amount of snow on the Titlis: Titlis: 660 cm; Stand and Jochpass 365 cm; Trübsee: 230 cm; Engelberg: 20 cm.

Champagne Powder. Today was a dream day. Bottomless fluffy fresh snow. As if Mrs. Holle had sprinkled the snow over the slopes with a sieve - like powdered sugar over a cake.

Risks

SLF reports warning level 3. Nothing alarming observed in the morning despite a considerable amount of fresh snow. After midday, the snow became heavier in the lower part of the foliage. And small slides also came loose at the top under pressure.

Today, the foliage was the place to be. All the fresh snow must have fallen from the fog that the breeze pushed into the Engelberg valley for days. While it was sunny in Lucerne, you couldn't see your hand in front of your eyes on the Titlis yesterday and the day before. The fog line has been at a good 2900 meters for the last few days. That means that at the very top of the summit and in the uppermost part of the Steinberg, where it was sunny, the backcountry was as hard as nails. But who cares when there are such fantastic conditions in the foliage. It's precisely because of days like these that you do this sport and train hard in summer. Forget those days when the snow is hard and visibility is poor. It was a DREAM today.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
