Unerwartet gut auf dem Titlis

Snow condition
A good 30 centimetres of fresh snow fell on the Titlis during the night. The perfect amount to have a lot of fun today. And the base is still thick enough all the way down to the valley so that there is no contact with stones or the ground.
Snow quality
Slightly windswept at the top of the glacier. But really fast to ride. Perfectly fluffy pow in the foliage. Only in the afternoon did it get a bit heavy in the lower part of the foliage. But still very good to ride.
Risks
SLF reports danger level 2. There was a lot of wind on the summit today and probably a lot of snow. But I didn't see anything special in the terrain today. The large avalanche cone in the photos is old, the avalanche was blown up.
Overall impression
There was only two centimetres of fresh snow last night. So I was all the more surprised this morning when the measuring station suddenly showed over 30 centimetres. And the weather was also much better than forecast. And, what was most unusual for Engelberg. For once, there was no powder stress at all. Even at 2.15 pm, only half the leaves had been ploughed up. Whoever goes tomorrow will definitely still have fun!
