Snow report Central Switzerland, 04/05/2015

Easter powder skiing in the Brisen area. Ski tour from Niederrickenbach to the Glattegrat. In the morning it was as icy cold as in January, with a brisk breeze. Everything was covered in deep snow like in the height of winter.

Above 1800m there is now a lot of snow. The terrain has been really evened out by the wind. Today the descent to Niederrickenbach was still barely rideable, but that will change quickly.

Snow quality

sometimes slightly windswept. But that's complaining at a high level. On the north side, we will be able to enjoy this hammer powder for a few more days.

Risks

Considerable. There is also a lot of drift snow in places. At least the situation eases relatively quickly at this time of year. But the Brisen was hardly tackled today (at least I couldn't see any tracks until 10:30 am)

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Great, and it will stay that way for the next few days. However, we must increasingly limit ourselves to the northern sector.
