Snow condition
There was about 30-40cm of new snow this week. Descents into the valley still possible up to approx. 1100m. On the south side it's slowly getting tight, on the north side still no problems.
Snow quality
Cold, dry powder in April. It only got warmer as the clouds gathered and below 1400m it was slightly damp on the north side too.
Risks
The fresh snow was washed down on the south side with the diurnal warming. Less wind than expected, below 2300m it was almost unaffected.
Overall impression
Great day in wintry conditions, it could go on like this for a while...
