Snow condition
The snow line has been higher than expected over the last few days. So you could still set off at 1000 meters in the morning, but there was a lot of brown on the way back. Above 1500 it was still really good. Around 2000 the conditions were basically good, but the wind blew a lot of it off.
Snow quality
Still nice and cool and light from the bottom in the morning. Above 1500m it was still very easy to ski around 11am, but you could feel a frozen layer of ice here and there under the fresh snow. On the way back, I had to take off my skis just before the car and walk the last few meters. The spring sun was too strong for the few centimetres that were still there in the morning.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Drift snow from the last few days was probably the main danger today. I was alone today and skied very defensively.
Overall impression
Nice short tour in Hasliberg. Few people and fantastic weather. Picked up a surfboard holder for the bus on the way back, now we can start planning for the summer.
