Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne
15 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1400 m)

From the start in Realp, a good base that quickly improves. Above 2000m something is still possible for quite a while. No stretches between Realp and Engelberg. Only on the last descent from Grassen does the snow run out at 1400m.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Wet snow
Slush
Powder snow
Jelly snow

Everything you can get in spring. First soaked by the rain, then about 20 cm of fresh snow, perfectly preserved powder on the north side and everything that gets sun for a few minutes turns firny to rotten.

Risks

Diurnal warming

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

From Tuesday to Saturday from a 3 to a 1. Slippery snow problems everywhere, wet loose snow avalanches on the sunny side that grow enormously and wet snow that leaves car-sized snowballs when you ski down.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne
Equal

2nd tour with a slightly different variation through the heart of the Uri Alps. We got everything, from soaking wet to sun and powder. From snow and weather 3 stars. From the personal overall impression +1 star. There is certainly still plenty to do around the Sustenpass and Meiental.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
