Snow condition
It's getting there ;) In the valley it's a damp 40cm up to the boot lid. That's not bad for the end of April. We're traveling at an average altitude of 1800m and everything above that is full to the brim!
Snow quality
Finest powder with good pow. Not bottomless, but just right for picking up speed and still deep. Once I made a turn and the stuff felt like it was in the air for minutes! From midday onwards, it got heavier from hour to hour in the foliage. The first run was powder up to 1250m without any restrictions.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
3+ plus was the forecast. 178cm of fresh snow in the last few days is quite an announcement. The last few days with little wind and the structure was very homogeneous. Sluff management was the order of the day. Everything over 35° ran after you and cleared many a slope, which had to be taken into account when choosing lines.
Overall impression
PreConditionsTestings for the final meeting. 3x5 stars. We still have to dig out the Chalet Trübsee. The best day of the season! Top Ten Day Alltime. First run in the fog, then more and more visibility and finally Bluebird down the glacier. Powder top to bottom. Few pictures
