From about 2700m, everything is slightly sugared - there is about 30cm on the glacier, just enough to avoid skiing on bare ice.

Pleasant piste conditions - the piste fan would describe it as powder-hard.
Risks
Nothing yet - crevasses are the biggest danger. I would wait for a few more snowfalls before descending via the glacier.
Overall impression
Super sunny Friday - with little activity. Perfect for getting your skiing technique up to scratch. Cafe creme and croissants, fascinating panorama increase the anticipation for the coming winter.P.S. From Monday there will be an overhaul on the glacier, i.e. no more skiing until 18 November.
