Snow report Central Switzerland, 11/12/2016
Wow, what awesome powder pictures from the Titlis went through my social media channels on Saturday. Powdering like in the depths of winter. Today the whole thing felt like a Bigmac commercial. It looks super tasty in the pictures - when you see it in

Snow condition
A good base - nothing more. The great pictures were probably taken in the snow-covered hollows. Anyone who skied somewhere else will probably have to send their skis to the rubber doctor tomorrow. Half a meter of snow has fallen on snow-free ground. The base is therefore still completely missing. If the same amount of snow falls again, the world will look much better.
Snow quality
Powder good. The temperatures should get warmer over the next few days. It certainly won't hurt if the snow settles and sets the stones in concrete underneath it.
Risks
SLF reports warning level 3 - considerable for Engelberg-Titlis. Snow has fallen on relatively warm ground. Accumulations of drifting snow have formed due to the wind.
Overall impression
After the awesome pictures I saw on the internet yesterday, I went up the mountain today with rather too many expectations. But it's only November. Winter has started early and well. But we still need a lot more snow to have real fun.
