Snow is urgently needed on the Titlis. Freeriding is currently impossible on the Titlis. It's too dangerous at the very top of the glacier because the crevasses are open. And from Station Stand - at 2400 meters, after all - there is only green to be seen away from the snow-covered slopes. The Steinberg is living up to its name at the moment. As the route leads from 3000 meters down to 1800 meters with no exit options, this would currently mean 1/10 skiing and 9/10 hiking. Only the Rotegg is skiable. This is the route that connects the glacier with the rest of the ski area. It's not open and you have to avoid a few rocks. But at least there are hardly any people there and it comes closest to the feeling of freeriding. Now I'm really hoping that Mother Hulda will show some mercy over the next few days. Tuesday in particular could be exciting if the wind turns to the north and pushes the clouds onto the Titlis slopes.

Not ok on the glacier. Even if the wind causes the bare glacier ice to appear in some (small) places. Down below - I'm talking about the pistes - it's just the way it is on artificial snow.

Risks

Being hit by a stone is currently far more dangerous than being caught in an avalanche.

Snow.... Please bring snow, and not just a few centimetres. Last year, deliveries were much better at this time of year and we were able to ride the foliage in the best conditions. And now something like this... It can't go on like this.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
