Snow report Central Switzerland, 11/26/2016
It's the second-longest foehn phase ever, which finally came to an end on Thursday. And the Föhn did a great job. Warm temperatures and winds of up to 130 km/h have destroyed the top base. Freeriding on the Titlis is currently

Snow condition
Green below 1800 meters. From Trüebsee to Stand, just about enough thanks to snow cannons - actually quite good on the glacier. But I'm only talking about the pistes - the foehn has done a great job and blown away the snow wherever it hasn't been compressed by snow groomers weighing tons. At least the glacier is completely white - but the wind has turned the off-piste terrain into a piste.
Snow quality
The snow on the glacier was surprisingly good today. At the bottom, between Trüebsee and Stand, it was good and grippy at the start of the day. When the snow had run out around midday, it became quite icy in places.
Risks
The danger of debris avalanches on the Titlis is currently greater than that of snow avalanches.
Overall impression
Snow is urgently needed. But at least you can ski on the Titlis, unlike almost all other ski resorts in Central Switzerland (in Andermatt, parts of the Gemsstock are open). And for those who like skiing, the conditions are not even that bad. Even the Rotegg ski route - the connection between the glacier and the ski area is not that bad. But watch out!!! If you don't want to hit (almost) any rocks, you have to keep to the left as seen from above.
