Snow report Central Switzerland, 11/27/2015

From 0 to 100 in a week! Titlis and Jochpass still closed. Foliage was driven. The new 8-seater gondola lift opens in mid-December. Advantage: even quicker back up, disadvantage: no more connection at Gerschnialp after the Laub. Unfortunately today

Unbelievable what it has thrown down in a week. A good one meter at 2000m above sea level. Downhill run open and also off-piste no stones and super powder snow right down to the valley.

1a, but this should change quickly. A storm is forecast for tomorrow.

Risks

Will increase with the forecast storm winds. At the moment there is 1 m of powder on a zero base. But it's better to have zero base than a slippery layer.

Overall impression

Absolutely top conditions for the end of November. Lots of snow up to 800 m above sea level. Great start to the winter. Book tip: the Outdoorguide Engelbergertal by Daniel Perret will be published on Dec. 10, available soon at freerideguide.ch. A compilation of the best freeride runs, skit, high, climbing, hiking and bike tours.
