Snow condition
Let me put it this way. 4/5 of the way down from Wendellücke, Steinberg or Sulz, the snow is already really deep. But beware, the base is missing and it wouldn't hurt if the whole thing settled down a bit. In the lowest part - where all the paths come together and everyone passes through - there are still a lot of stones. Rock skiing is therefore still recommended. All other routes such as Galtiberg - down to 1000 meters - the foliage is supposed to be quite good - or the Titlis round tour. But I don't know... At least I still ride with the handbrake on in the lower sections. After all, I don't want to bruise my knee because I hit a rock at full throttle.
Snow quality
The snow is of super quality. Fluffy pow with a few spots that have been pressed by the wind. But for the most part, it's quite powdery, as you can see in the photos. But now we're hoping that it will get a little warmer in Engelberg so that the snow settles and there's a good load of powder on top.
Risks
Yesterday, the Swiss Avalanche Institute reported warning level 2, but I didn't observe any particular incidents in the terrain.
Overall impression
Yesterday we took the cherry on the cake for this season. And it really was dream conditions. Two weeks ago, I would never have thought that it would get so good so quickly. If we hadn't had to avoid so many stones at the bottom, I would have given it five stars for the first time this season.
