Still above average for the time of year. Especially in the lower area of the Steinberg, the snow cover allows more opportunities for skiing than in the whole of last year. It's getting less in the valley. On the south side (towards Brunni), the steep slopes are often free of snow, as many of them have already disappeared.

The first 200-300 m were okay, after that it got crunchy. You could either go full throttle over the top and break through the snow cover, or ski down and try not to break anything. I personally enjoyed the slopes more.

Risks

Sliding snow activity can be seen at almost all expos. This is currently the greatest danger. This is unlikely to improve with further warming.

Nice weather on the mountain - skiing is also fun on the slopes, the base is right, the crowds are arriving and the descent into the valley is an ice run... if it stays like this, Rega will have plenty to do over the holidays.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
