Snow condition
Not very much, much less than on the main Alpine ridge. The variants on the glacier are well snowed in. There is still a lot missing for the foliage. There's nothing in the valley.
Snow quality
10-30cm then fell in cold temperatures, before that it rained far and wide. Loose and light. From about 2000m you can feel the rain crust. A lot of wind in the upper part.
Risks
During the precipitation period, there were probably a few falls in south-facing terrain. Otherwise, the snow cover gave a stable impression.
Overall impression
Super day - small deduction for the snow conditions. Best conditions this year. We still need a lot of snow so that we can finally head for the lower areas.
And back home in time for Christmas dinner...
