significantly less than on the Aosta Valley side, but of course it is usually enough for a descent in the vallé Blanche. However, due to the early access, all the couloirs in the moraine slopes are very easy to ski as they are still free of stones.
Snow quality
Everything you can imagine apart from spring swamp. Powder in the shade, wind slush in the ridges, sun cover in the open flat sections and ice in the riverbed under the glacier.
Risks
easy, no tension and no recognizable activity until 3850. In the forest, old snow debris fields from the storm times.
Overall impression
Panorama instead, peppered with one or two really nice lines. A nice Sunday stroll.
