Towards the valley it becomes scarce. A lot at the top, but famous gullies (e.g. Gervasutti) and north faces (e.g. Tour Ronde) are still completely bare

the well-known routes around Chamonix are all groomed. No fresh snow for ages.... Some very big, hard windswept slopes...

Yes, I would have been better off staying at home. Fresh snow is supposed to come, but I'll probably be gone by then :-(
