After a long period of high pressure, there was again dense cloud and snow over the weekend. About 5 cm of fresh snow fell. Otherwise the snow conditions are very modest. Grand Montets Talabfahrt is still a sulz party possible.

Snow quality

A few centimetres of sugar-like sleet fell, with no binding at all. It only thinly covers the still slightly damp snow cover from the previous days. This was not able to radiate completely, which is quite pleasant, as it is not so hard in the morning with the fresh snow and quite ok to ride.

Risks

At the moment, the risk of falling is probably higher due to the poor snow conditions. The sleet could form a possible weak layer if it is not transformed and pose a danger with new snowfalls.

Cool corner. Unfortunately not much snow but a good atmosphere in the Refuge d'Argentiere. Large holes and snow bridges, some only a few centimetres wide, on the crossing into the Argentiere basin.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
