Snow condition
Descending in the light forest is possible up to approx. 1600m. Tree trunks and branches then become a problem. In the dense forest there is still a lack of carpet pad to make it fit. In terrain steeper than 35 degrees, rocks come through in places. Rarely are you surprised by small rocks, even on flat terrain. All in all, you just slide over a few things where you ask yourself what was actually lying here a few days ago.

Snow quality
Flégère has had significantly less wind than Grands Montets. Loose powder snow lies on top of yesterday's slightly wind-affected snow. Thick snowfall all day, almost covering the tracks again. You can sink your ski pole up to your shoulder... no idea where the snow suddenly came from. In the valley there is less than 25 cm and up here the meter has certainly been cracked.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
The drift snow from yesterday should have been completely snowed in today. Looks very peaceful, but could make for exciting moments on the mountain tomorrow if the sun shines and the upper lifts open like the index. There is still a problem with old snow that has settled close to the ground. The large additional load of a small slab of snow could well travel through and set things in motion. Clever terrain selection will certainly be an advantage over the next few days.
Overall impression
It was another really nice powder day. Ms. Holle unexpectedly brought an extra scoop of snow to the mountain. There was more than enough snow in many places. On certain edges of the terrain, the rocks were closer than expected. It's not enough for 5 stars because there are still a lot of obstacles in the terrain.
