Exposition
Snow condition
Very good snow conditions - despite the south-facing orientation, rocks above 1500m are pretty well snowed in. Below that, the base is a little thinner. You should not ski all the way down under the gondola as you can get through to the steel cables and rocks on the via ferrata.
Snow quality
approx. 120cm Pow between 1500 and 2000m. Pretty fluffy down to the valley. (in the morning) Normal powder snow. Not champagne quality, but enough to create a dusting.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Unbound snow in the forest. No danger signs. Above it already looked wind-affected. In the afternoon, the snow became a little heavier up to medium altitudes as diffuse light moved in with some sun.
Overall impression
Lots of fresh snow. Cold enough. No wind. A good day in the trees of Flegere. The next few days will be exciting, especially at altitude, with massive drifts in places.
