Snow condition
Good snow conditions. Snow line below 1000m. Downhill skiing in the forest up to 1300m on the north side possible again.
Snow quality
Where did the snow suddenly come from? 25 cm fell overnight without wind in the valley - at least 40 cm on the mountain. Fluffy, soft and of excellent quality. With the base still very good on the north side, it's safe to send again in the forest.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Wind signs only at terrain transitions above the tree line. Above 3000m it looked like the weather was moving more snow. Unbound and safe in the forest.
Overall impression
A day for the powder book... Super snow and surprisingly few people. Considering the time of year, there's nothing to complain about, even with the excellent base. With this new snow package, the conditions are really wintry again. At high altitudes, we will see what the wind will do over the next few days. The danger situation will probably get worse.
