Snow condition
Before the snowfall, there were still a few stones sticking out of the pushed-together slope on the tour. Today at lunchtime there was enough snow that you couldn't get anything even in open terrain if you chose a sensible route.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, it got a little warmer in the morning. Unfortunately, the zero degree line rose slightly during the day. Slightly soggy powder snow was the result, especially in the lower areas up to around 1800 m. At least you can no longer get through to the ground.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Above: 1800 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
Fall injuries due to the changeable snow (Bremsig and Schnell) Stones only a problem in blown-off areas above 2000. Avalanches are only a problem on steep or blown-in slopes. You don't want to ski there anyway because steep = rocky. From about 35 degrees steepness you can also observe spontaneous loose snow slides. Over 2000 was a 4 today. Flat meadow slopes around 30 degrees were unproblematic today.
Avalanche activity
Wet loose snow avalanche
Altitude: 1600 m
Loose snow avalanche
Overall impression
All in all, it was very rewarding to trudge through the snow. The descent was modest in terms of snow quality and requires titanium calves, but the landscape is beautiful to look at so snow-covered. All in all a great base and good that the snow was so soft. Before there was very little snow and due to the cold and therefore very loose snow, you hit every grain of rice. It's still snowing heavily so it can only get better.
