Snow condition
Grands Montets still too many stones in the off-piste terrain to ride without worry. I haven't seen as many loose edges as today for a long time. On the tour there is some grass on the south side in a few places.
Snow quality
Powder on the north side. Poor crust or soggy on the south side.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Sliding snow very widespread on the south side at approx. 1400m and meadow slopes. Particularly visible above le Tour. In Grands Montets numerous successful avalanches on the edge of the slopes. Dry slab avalanches up to 70 cm thick.
Avalanche activity
Dry slab avalanche
Altitude: 1900 m
Overall impression
The snow is slowly settling. Still fluffy, fresh and light on the north side. On the south side it's a mousse au chocolat blanc. Freeriding still recommended with stone skis.
