From approx. 900m snow sufficient for ascent on forest road. Could be more but sensational for Bavaria in mid-April.
Snow quality
On the north, in particular above approx. 1300m, I still found set powder without a lid. Great in the forest, but also fine on alpine pastures. Deeper then good wet snow.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Some wind signs, diurnal warming not a problem.
Overall impression
On tour today with Skimale and another buddy. And completely atypical; despite the increased number of ConditionsReporters, Pow was to be found... Nice multi-sport round in the best company. Super conditions in mid-April in Bavaria.
