Snow report Courmayeur Mont Blanc, 01/15/2018
Courmayeur
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
There is certainly a meter in the valley, but it is not rideable because of the frozen, hard ex-rain slush. Otherwise very good from 1700
Snow quality
Above 1700, generally north and all shady slopes ice-cold set powder with at least 10cm thick rime crusts, fantastic skiing. Already radiant crust on the sunny side, concrete powder below 1700. Carellage, hits the nail on the head.
Risks
Apart from the large marble runs on the sunny slopes, everything looks very stable.
Overall impression
From 400m long pillow fields, full-throttle gullies over and spine slopes in the forest. This was ski porn at its finest.
