Snow report Courmayeur Mont Blanc, 03/01/2016

Snow condition
Due to the high temperatures, the snow in the valley melts away quickly. Up on the mountain it is still okay. Most of the descents into the valleys are still possible without any problems.
Snow quality
The snow cover is soaked through to well over 2,000 m. From 1,800 m it was already too sticky to ski offside today.
Risks
O.K. in the morning. Critical from midday onwards. Especially in the steep side valleys leading into the valley. Especially on the south side, I was able to recognize many new sliding snow slides (well over 2,000 m), which should improve again as it cools down.
Overall impression
It was an okay day. At the end we just skied the slopes ... Because there were so few people, it was still a lot of fun.
