Netter liftunterstützter Freeridetag in Courmayeur. Der Variantenbereich oberhalb von ca. 1.800 m war wieder frisch angerichtet. Alleine ist man hier nie.

Snow condition
Around 3 cm of fresh snow in the valley and around 10-15 cm on the mountain, depending on exposure. Descents into the side valleys are still possible. In the forest above approx. 1,500 m, things are going quite well. The storm has cleared all exposed areas above 2,200 m.
Snow quality
Areas sheltered from the wind above 2,000 m could boast fine powdery snow. Due to the high temperatures, everything was already very settled. Fun to ride!
Risks
Blasting on very steep, wind-affected slopes has shown little success. There are no other signs of danger. The much-traveled variant terrain can certainly be assessed more favorably. The marked cooling has led to a significant hardening of the snow cover.
Overall impression
The weather seems to be difficult to forecast here. Once again, much better. The forecast amounts of fresh snow for this region were a complete washout on all the usual weather channels!
