Generally lots of snow this year in the (Sexten) Dolomites. Fresh snow is rather cosmetic at the bottom, but from Lago Misurina and further up it's quite noticeable with around 10cm (and possibly a little more).

Powder in the north sector. In the other sectors, you can clearly feel the power of the sun (hence one point deduction).

Risks

(Smaller) chutes / slab avalanches had come down from very steep slope areas (embankments) or gullies. As the wind gets stronger, this loose fresh snow is increasingly transported and forms new snow packs.

Overall impression

A very beautiful and impressive day in the surroundings of the Three Peaks. To our surprise, after the fresh snow we were the first to ski down the north gully from the Forcella Col di Mezzo into the Rienza Valley and to the Hotel 3 Zinnen. The old tracks were completely covered, especially in the upper section.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
