Hard everywhere . Due to the north föhn, the snow has been heavily transported and all surfaces, with the exception of a few drift snow fields, are really hard or broken snow. Too windy for firn and not enough sun

OK due to the small amount of fresh snow. However, the snow has been moved around quite a bit and weak layers in the old snow are still present, but have not been released when digging into the snowpack.
Overall impression
Despite little and hard snow snow quite alright, the Dolomites are simply a beautiful backdrop
