In the meantime, it has become warmer and with strong sunlight, the snow cover, where the wind had previously blown most of it off, is already becoming thin again. This is more the case on higher ridges. There is still a lot of snow in the forest.

If you choose the north/northwest descent, the powder still sticks. The snow is now heavier on sunny slopes (south/southeast).

Risks

Overall, the avalanche danger is decreasing. A 2 was issued for the first time today. It has become warmer overall, so that sliding snow avalanches could still occur. The nights are now clear and surface frost is forming.

Sun and glistening snow. Nature couldn't be more beautiful. In the last few days, I've done lots of short tours under the Rosengarten. I've often climbed back up several times because the snow is so great. Overall, the conditions are extremely good. It could actually stay like this all winter.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
