Snow condition

Snow conditions are unfortunately unchanged. In the East Tyrolean Hochpustertal/Villgratental it has unfortunately only snowed on the peaks and otherwise rained, in the Tauern it has snowed a little more. In Villgratental you can start from about 1600m, in Hochpustertal only from about 1900m, but it always depends on the exposure.

Snow quality

The quality of the snow is getting worse and worse, you can usually only find wind-pressed snow and hard snow.

Risks

During our tours in East Tyrol over the past few days, we have also repeatedly noticed the sound of snow settling in the channels and often observed cracks forming in the wind slabs. With the exception of the Karnische Kam, level 3 was declared everywhere.

Overall impression

I'm noticing that my touring partners are slowly losing the desire to go touring in East Tyrol. The conditions are really bad and the skis are also being damaged from time to time.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
