Snow condition

Snow conditions are unchanged as it hasn't snowed in the last few days. In the Lienz Dolomites you can start from 1600m. In the Villgratental you can start from about 1600m, in the Hochpustertal only from about 1800m.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The fresh snow has made some tours in East Tyrol interesting again. Last week, all slopes in every exposure were covered with beautiful powder. Now it depends very much on the altitude and orientation whether you can still find powder. On our tour in the Lienz Dolomites, for example, we also had powder over broken to wind slabs. Nevertheless, 3 stars for the beautiful powder slopes.

Risks

Unfortunately, the avalanche situation is still very tense. We were able to identify various avalanche cones on our tour. We also found fresh wind loads on a few slopes.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

It was once again very nice to go on a tour in the Dolomites, and we were partly rewarded with beautiful powder slopes, therefore 3 stars.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
