In Alta Pusteria there was finally some snow on Monday 08.02.2017. In the valley it snowed about 25 cm and at 2400m about 40cm. The base is only present at higher altitudes from about 1900m.
Snow quality
Beautiful powder at higher altitudes, very wet and heavy in the valley. Where there is still no subsoil, you can get right down to the ground when making turns at altitude.
Risks
In East Tyrol, 3 has been issued above 2400 m above sea level. New wind loads could only be observed on a smaller scale. However, the unfavorable structure of the old snow cover should also be taken into account on tours
Overall impression
This winter we are already satisfied with little, maybe there will be something more and winter will make a comeback
