Altitude

Avalanche warning level
moderate (2)
Exposition
Snow condition
you can ski down to the valley. at least. but for February there could be a lot more, especially at higher altitudes. The backs are blown bare. Mountain pine soil comes through from time to time if you stick your pole into the snow cover. at least stone contact is avoidable with a consistently north-facing exit
Snow quality
Wind was everywhere. Even protected north-facing cirques are wind-pressed and hard. Only very localized soft drift snow. Often still powder snow on the flat valley floor
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Some fresh drift snow. Danger of falling on hard snow cover
Overall impression
Walked in the shade all day and froze to find bad snow. I suspect good powder in extremely sheltered north-facing steep gullies. if the avalanche danger allows, you can try your luck here. Otherwise it's probably more enjoyable to look for firn at the moment.
