I'm always in the area around this time of year - today it looks much better than the last few years, although it's starting to snow out further up, but you can usually still go out from 2000m on the snow side. There's still plenty of snow on the south side too. Definitely worthwhile for a while in certain areas, albeit with certain stretches below.

From ok to good. Departure at 9.00 a.m. went well. The summer firn at the bottom was quite slowing in the sun, cool to ski in the shade, and mostly frozen hard at the top during the ascent, so there were a few good turns down there. But the window for as much good snow as possible is small - sometimes deep rotten snow even early in the morning at 3000m.

Risks

Moderate, if you don't hang around super steep, super late in the bright south faces. All in all, the snow cover doesn't have much of a cold reserve, but on the other hand a lot of it has already gone or is very compact.

Mega beautiful, as always.
Very cool, varied terrain and great views.
The timing was right, it was probably the best in terms of snow quality, I think.
The Glockner group also looks worthwhile from the south side. Overall, it felt like there was a bit more snow on the north side of the main ridge, but still above average.
I hiked for half an hour (start at 1900m).
Nice - you can definitely still do tours away from the glaciers on low 3000m peaks and have 1000m of downhill fun.
There were also lots of great animal sightings.
