Snow report East Tyrol-North Carinthia, 11/02/2014
First ski tour with little snow...
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
The snow conditions in the East Tyrolean Puster Valley are unfortunately still very poor, if at all you can only ski on the north side and above an altitude of 2000m.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, you can't speak of quality here, you can say there is snow, albeit little, but the first tours are possible on selected mountains.
Risks
I think the only avalanche danger comes from steep grassy slopes where the little snow could start to slide.
Overall impression
It was quite amusing to do the first tour in these adverse conditions, even if you have to look for the snow track on the descent, we never took off our skis (spare skis ;) ). However, the beautiful weather on the tour deserves a second star.
