About 15cm of new snow since yesterday. The new snow has a poor connection to the layer below, it fell under the influence of the wind and the snowfall and wind continued during the day (approx. 40 km/h wind).

The fresh snow is nice and fluffy, the layer underneath is hard. Where there were tracks, these have turned into hard humps. Don't be fooled by the soft surface, especially in poor visibility (like today) you have to be on your guard.

Risks

According to LLB LWS 2 for the mountain group. Personal assessment on the Tauplitz: 2 with a slight tendency towards 3, because even a small additional load caused clods to come loose and there was also a crack propagation across a steep slope. The amount of fresh snow is too small for much to really come loose here, and the older layers have bonded together well. Nevertheless, caution is advised, even sluff can pose a risk of falling.

Well ;) It's not worth driving here specially.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
