The tour starts at the almost deserted La Jarjatte ski station in Devoluy, on the border between the Drome and Devoluy districts, where there is no snow on the southern slopes, but plenty of snow from the station westwards to the Aiguille du haut Bouffet.

Snow quality

1 von 5 Sterne

In the north-west facing couloir of the Aiguille du h. Bouffet lies old, hard snow garnished with stones. After climbing to the summit, we decide on a pleasant and spring-like descent eastwards into the Vallon des Aiguilles and return to the ski station via the Crete des Aiguilles. On the last descent, the snow above the cloud cover is very wet, below it is winter and the snow is frozen. Both can be skied.

Risks

Everything is stable. In the afternoon, a layer a few centimeters thick softens in the sun and loses its grip.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

The snow doesn't deserve much more than one star, but the Devoluy is fantastically beautiful and definitely worth the 3 euro eighty toll from Grenoble. The third star goes to the unbeatable mountain guide.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
