Powder snow

Face shots en masse. It has snowed a good meter in the last few days. What was there yesterday turned to honey. What was added tonight remained powdery. We didn't test it above the tree line. Too windy and too dangerous.

Risks

Fresh avalanches
South

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

We saw new or drift snow avalanches above the tree line. Unsurprisingly, there are also urgent warnings about this.

Worse

Wild weather. You can't do much with all the fresh snow, it's too dangerous and too windy. La Grave was Iced Out at the beginning of the week, it's been closed since the precipitation and will probably stay that way for the time being. Today we had an amazing powder day, but with the warmth this pleasure will probably fade too.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
