OISANS (FR) - Vaujany - Col du Sabot
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
First heavy snowfalls 1500m / South slope / Enough snow to climb but not enough for the descent. We skied on the road to get down 1800m / South slope / You can ski anywhere in the prairies 2000m and more / Enough snow if the rocks are not too big
Snow quality
Under 1800m : Snow crust in the south Above 1800m : Fresh and light snow North faces are well covered with snow around 2000m
Risks
Some large occasional avalanche flows at the bottom of the valley Between 1500m and 2100m, just a few small avalanches on southern slope. On northern slope, seem stable despite good accumulations
Overall impression
There is just enough snow for skiing above 1800m. Below, avoid the southern slopes.
The Vercors massif seems to have had more snow in the last few days.
